Developing future fundraising talent and leaders

When & Where

12:00 - 13:00, Monday 1st July 2019
Cinema 1

"If leadership is about people, then developing talent should be the number one priority for every senior manager. In fact it’s been said that great leaders excel at two things: managing talent and managing upwards. Above all else, being excellent at unlocking and harnessing the potential of those around you.

And yet, concerns about attracting, retaining and developing successful teams are major issues in our sector – with debates raging about the diversity of our organisations, the investment into talent development, our ability to recruit people from other sectors and hold on to our own best people.

This session gives you the opportunity to hear from an experienced panel of leaders as they share the challenges and opportunities they have faced in building successful teams. You will hear from:

Joe Jenkins, Chair, IOF Convention Board; Children’s Society
Paul Amadi, British Red Cross
Jo Swinhoe, NSPCC
Kate Collins, CEO, Teenage Cancer Trust

And there will be plenty of time during this session to ask your own questions.
