Pets At Home / Support Adoption For Pets

Biography

I joined Pets at Home’s charity Support Adoption For Pets almost 10 years ago and the Charity is unrecognisable to the one I joined back then. I have been a fundraiser for longer than I care to remember in a number of organisations including Macmillan Cancer Support and East Cheshire Hospice, both of which are still important to me – I don’t believe you can ask others to support your cause if you don’t have a passion for what you are trying to achieve. My current role is perfect as it enables me to combine my love of fundraising with my passion for pets.

However this position enables me to see the other side…. How we help rescues and make a long term difference to the lives of pets. As the Charity has grown and fundraising has been ever more successful we have been able to award larger grants to rehoming organisations, becoming the largest funder to pet welfare, giving rescues better facilities and help more pets in their search for the home they deserve.
I’m a member of the North West I of F Committee, Treasurer of a local community group.
