Job Role

Caroline Danks has been a fundraiser since 2004, specialising in high value fundraising and capital appeals. She has experience of working with large and small charities across different sectors. Caroline lives in Cornwall where she runs her own consultancy.

Prior to this, Caroline spent eight years as fundraising manager at the National Trust, raising money for historic buildings, countryside and coastal portfolios across Devon and Cornwall. During this time, Caroline’s greatest achievement was managing the fundraising campaign for the restoration of Castle Drogo in Devon. Over four years, £7 million was raised against a target of £4 million. Caroline wrote the high value strategy and delivered, with colleagues, its £1.5 million target. She established and led a development board and hosted several bespoke events for donors and prospects.

Caroline is an associate for Money Tree Fundraising (winner of the Institute of Fundraising’s ‘Best Strategic Consultancy’ in 2015), and Kairos Fundraising Solutions. As well as awesome fundraising practice, she is interested in productivity, personal development, working collaboratively, politics (not the office variety) and yoga.
