Job Role

Apollo Fundraising

I am a fundraising consultant and trainer. My job is to help arts and culture organisations of all shapes and sizes to achieve their fundraising goals.

My career as a fundraiser started in Manchester, raising money from Trusts and Foundations for an orchestra. Since then I have helped raise money to stage theatrical and musical masterpieces (and perhaps a few duds), to build a new studio theatre and to create new works of art to inspire and engage young minds.

I started working as a consultant in 2015, first with the Management Centre (=mc) before founding Apollo Fundraising in 2016. I am lucky to have worked with some amazing organisations recently, including Salisbury Cathedral, the Barbican and the Royal Pavilion.

Over the last year, I have helped organisations to raise money to protect a prince’s pleasure palace, to tell stories to people who have never owned a book and to buy a Bronze Age pregnant woman’s giant gold necklace.

In 2014 I was awarded the Highly Commended prize at the Legacy10 Awards for Excellence. In 2016 I was listed as one of the UK’s “Top 25 Fundraisers under 35” by Civil Society’s Fundraising Magazine.
