Biography

Gemma joined Big Lottery Fund in October 2015 and has led on the design and development of our England portfolio to better realise the principles of putting people
in the lead to best serve their local communities, and us providing a simpler and more flexible funding offer overall.

She now oversees ongoing innovation and improvement to our funding in England, as well as our Strategic Programmes tackling complex social issues and key partnerships including with government on Dormant Accounts.

Formerly managing director of enterprise and innovation at Leonard Cheshire Disability, Gemma, who has a Masters in Human Rights from the University of Sussex, has a successful track record in helping to organisations to be more responsive and impactful through user-centred design, including Save the Children UK, where she led on innovation.
